Deepavali With Nagomi Art

主办方 by Sylvia Ng - The Therapeutic Artist

Hello, my name is Sylvia and I am proud to call myself a Malaysian, stay in a multi-racia... l, multi-cultural and multi-religion country. Prior to getting my Advanced Instructor certification by JPHAA Pastel Nagomi Art in 2019, I was working as a graphic designer and marketeer in the corporate world. My passion in life is to live healthy, easy and simply LOHAS living. Thus, I truly believe in the kanji character of “NAGOMI” which is ‘和’, as it carries the meaning of harmony, calm and peace. I hope to meet people around the world to share our Malaysia local food & culture thru Pastel Nagomi Art. Most of my students will say... "I won't paint", "I paint very poorly", "I don't have art cells" and so on before they try, but after they experienced to paint Pastel Nogomi art with fingers, they discovered something totally new about themselves. To me, that's my greatest fulfillment when my students found out their "inner self " or healing through this therapeutic healing system. Let me host you and your friends & family at Yuen Green Farm, a place that will offer a serene environment for anyone to focus and enjoy the present moment! 显示更多

我们都会干什么

With Diwali/Deepavali coming up quickly, there is nothing quite like making a gift for your loved ones as it can be so much more meaningful. So, why not get crafty this special day by making your own homemade DIY card using your fingers only?!

Sounds interesting? Come join me on this online guided painting session over Zoom where I will guide you through how you can use just your fingers and some pastels to create a masterpiece of your own from the comfort of your home.

My teaching aims to bring deeper meaning to the art we created. Thus, the theme of our painting would be themed after Diwali/Deepavali using the Pastel Nagomi Art, a form of Japanese art healing founded in Japan that has the ability to create harmony and hope in the heart of the painter and its admirers. It is a free-style therapeutic drawing where you use your fingers to apply the pastel powders on the paper directly. There is no right or wrong or any drawing rules - we can draw literally ANYTHING on the paper.

Providing a gift that you've made gives you the chance to enjoy the time spent creating it as well as honing a new skill that can prove to be very useful the more you practice it!
