This is a guided hike and climb that takes you to see the spectacular pinnacle formations rising from the top of the 300m limestone/granite outcrop Bukit Takun. Series of razor-sharp limestone spikes that tower above the surrounding vegetation made its the hidden gems for non climbers and surrounded by dense jungle home to many wildlife like wild boar,squirrel,gibbon and many more. You might have a chance to spot a wealth of indigenous species in their natural habitat. So now you can witness the beauty, uniqueness of the hidden pinnacle formations without any technical climbing skills. It starts with the easy rock climbing up the 7m height of rocks to the ledge then from here we scramble over the rocks, slope and ledges that lead us up to the top of the crag at about 50m above the ground. Here we do short scramble over the sharp pinnacle rocks to the view point that overlooking the pinnacles for photo and short break for snacks before descend by rappelling down using rope.

Itinerary

08:00 - Meetup at starting point, registration and start the jungle hikes

08:30 - Arrived at the climbing base, briefing,gear up and start climbing

11:00 - Start descend to the base, then trek back down to the car park

12:00 - Clean up at the public washroom, then drop off at Batu Caves temple if wanted.

Time options: 8am – 12pm or 9am – 1pm

Meetup Location Instruction

The easiest way get to meetup point is take a GRAB car (like UBER e-hailing service) to destination 'MIR Adventures Takun Climbing' and our guide will meet you there at 8am. it's about 40mins drive away from city center. Please don't take taxi as the climbing site is not popular touristy place.

Easy, suitable for adventure seeker and adrenaline junkies with decent fitness to trek/hike in the wilderness and able to climb a couple of meters short easy rocks. Safety climbing equipment will be used for safety during ascend and descend. For safety harness fitting require waist size smaller than 110cm.

• Flexible sport attire, long or short pant, preferable dry-fit long sleeve/long pant for better insect protection

• Plenty of water, min. 1.5L per person as there is nothing you can get in the jungle

• Snacks/Dry Foods

• Camera

• Expected high humidity climate means sweat a lot!

• Small daypack to carry all above items during the hikes

• Comfortable trekking shoe with good grips on the rough terrains (rocks and soil)
