Klang is not the most beautiful town in Malaysia but it is has character and a certain charm. It is a historic city, among the oldest in Malaysia, and it is a Royal city with a palace, mosque and other buildings associated with the Selangor Sultanate.
If you are interested about history and culture, it will be my honour to host you and your friends on this unique experience, concentrating on how the Chinese came and started to set their roots here.
We will start our journey in exploring the Klang Old road where you will get to experience the process of Chinese rice ball making and learn about the history of great Wai Shin Amateur Dramatic Association. This place was established more than 80 years ago. So, you can imagine how historical it is since Malaysia as a country is only 63 years old. We will get to meet people at Wai Shin who will share some knowledge about the Chinese Opera.
Towards the end of the journey, we will adjourn to a place where I will share more about the ancient art of paper cutting with the guidance of a mentor who has been doing this for many years (Well, if you want to learn something, might as well learn from the best!!!). Learn some skills from the mentor and turn a piece of paper into a fine art. Immerse yourself with the art of paper cutting, a tradition that can be dated back to 2nd Century, when paper was invented by Cai Lun in the Eastern Han Dynasty in China.
